Step One – Choosing your vehicle
Here at Vavoom, we make it easy to choose your new lease vehicle using the detailed guides and videos on the Vavoom Leasing website. Step Two – Finance application
Once you’ve made your choice it’s time to apply for finance. Contract hire is a credit agreement so we will need to perform credit checks and obtain lender approval to be able to secure the vehicle funding. For personal contract hire agreements and provided you have a good credit rating, the process is usually very simple. When it comes to business contract hire, limited companies and LLPs will need up to date filed accounts on Companies House, whilst sole traders and partnerships may need to provide their latest accounts.
Step Three – Order your new vehicle
At this stage you will have chosen your vehicle and we will have obtained finance approval. It’s at this stage that you’ll be required to pay our processing fee which is £165 plus VAT per vehicle. It’s important to know that we only take our fee when we have obtained finance approval. If for any reason you are not accepted for finance, we will not take any payment from you.
Once you’ve confirmed the exact specification of the vehicle you’d like, we will now order your vehicle with the supplier, usually a franchised dealer or via Vavoom’s own vehicle procurement channel; Vavoom Vehicle Procurement.
Step Four – Timescales
If you’ve chosen a stock vehicle we will aim to deliver your new vehicle usually within 2-4 weeks. If your vehicle is not in stock, the likelihood is that we’ll need to factory order your vehicle. This can typically take 10-12 weeks but in some cases the lead time is much longer, particularly if your chosen vehicle is prestigious or specialist or you’ve chosen to customise your vehicle.
Step Five – Your finance documentation
You will need to complete a finance agreement but you’ll be pleased to know we try and make this as simple as possible. Step Six – Delivery is ready to be set up
Good news! You’ve signed your finance documents and the finance provider has authorised delivery. When your vehicle has landed into stock, it’s time to arrange delivery to you. We typically give you 7-14 days notice for delivery so you have plenty of time to set up the insurance and arrange the collection of your current vehicle if this is required. If you’ve gone for an electric vehicle, this also gives you plenty of time to arrange installation of your electric vehicle charging point through Vavoom Energy Solutions.
Step Seven – Delivery day
Happy motoring! On the day of delivery, your vehicle will arrive between 9am and 5:30pm and we’ll ask the delivery driver to call you an hour beforehand to let you know they’re on the way. Taking delivery of your new car is an exciting experience. Please ensure you check the vehicle thoroughly to ensure that everything is perfect. We recommend checking the bodywork, windscreen, alloy wheels, interior and check that any accessories are included with the vehicle. Your new vehicle will arrive with enough fuel to get you to a fuel station or if you’ve gone for an electric vehicle, enough charge to cover your first few miles.
